We believe your salon experience should be more than an appointment—it should be a space where you feel seen, understood, cared for, and confident. Founded by licensed cosmetologist Kimberly Davidson, Bodega Beauty NY specializes in healthy hair, restorative beauty, smoothing treatments, dimensional color, extensions, silk presses, scalp wellness, and customized services designed around the individual—not a one-size-fits-all beauty standard. But our vision goes deeper than beautiful hair. Bodega Beauty NY is building a bridge between beauty and wellness, with a special commitment to clients navigating hair and scalp changes related to medical treatments, hair loss, alopecia, thinning, and other life transitions. Our approach combines beauty expertise, education, compassion, and thoughtful collaboration with a client's existing care team when appropriate. Our name reflects what we believe beauty should feel like: accessible, familiar, culturally connected, and full of personality. CANCELLATION POLICY
BODEGA BEAUTY NY Cancellation + Appointment Policy Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Because Bodega Beauty NY is a private, appointment-based studio, last-minute cancellations and no-shows directly impact our ability to serve other clients. Please review the following policies before booking. Cancellations + Rescheduling Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled **at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment** without penalty. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled **less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be charged 40% of the scheduled service total.** Same-Day Cancellations + No-Shows Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be charged 75% of the scheduled service total**. Clients who no-show may be required to **prepay in full** before booking future appointments. Late Arrivals Please arrive on time for your appointment. A **15-minute grace period** is provided. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may require your service to be shortened, modified, or rescheduled depending on the remaining appointment time. If the appointment can no longer be completed safely or without affecting another client's reservation, it may be treated as a same-day cancellation. Deposits Certain services—including extensions, corrective color, transformations, bridal services, and other extended appointments—may require a deposit. Unless otherwise stated, deposits are applied toward your service balance and are **non-refundable**. With sufficient notice, eligible deposits may be transferred **one time** to a rescheduled appointment. Extension + Specialty Service Appointments Appointments requiring custom-ordered hair, specialty products, or significant preparation may have additional cancellation requirements communicated at booking. Once hair, products, or other customized materials have been ordered specifically for your appointment, those costs are **non-refundable**. Emergencies + Illness Life happens. If you experience a genuine emergency, sudden illness, or unexpected circumstance, please contact Bodega Beauty NY as soon as possible. Exceptions may be considered at our discretion. Communication matters. Appointment Changes Major changes to your requested service should be communicated before your appointment whenever possible. Changing from a longer service to a significantly shorter service at the time of your appointment may be treated as a late cancellation of the services originally reserved.
